[13 September 2022] iPhone 14 Pro Max was a disaster as more bad news are looming out. The iPhone 14 were even worst. Fortunately last year, I bought two iPhone 13 Pro Max, sold one at a profit and use one till date. Some time later, my wife's iPhone 12 Pro Max was giving some issue and she also bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In my past year of review, iPhone 13 Pro Max is indeed one of the best Apple iPhone in history. Today, the iOS 16.0 had pushed down to my iPhone 13 Pro Max to provide more up to date functions. I'm glad to skip and foresee that iPhone 14 Pro Max range is not going to sell well, hence I skipped my scrapper's business on this one. 😄 Lately I became less reliant on my iPhone 13 Pro Max as I am currently able to multi-task most functions from my Samsung Z Fold 4. The only thing I still depend on my iPhone 13 Pro Max is the camera capability for my media creation work.

[04 September 2022] Tomorrow Samsung's partner will be collecting my S21 Ultra 256GB at the pledged value of SGD740. With local mobile phone shop accepting at SGD$600 (Without Trade in) at the point of this posting, I had managed to save the depreciation cost. For a hardcore smartphone enthusiast like me, often other people will think that I kept changing phone for fun, but many were mistaken. In actual fact, I am cutting losses from the natural depreciation cost of the device. Hence the money saved will brought over to the next device which also contribute to being more efficient where these newer device carries value to the user. I got to say that I went to Samsung store everyday to touch their demo versus actually owning it brings a much different experience. That I will share more in my next video. Topic of today is that the very last Exynos 2100 of my Samsung S21 Ultra was simply the best Exynos chipset it can offer and Snapdragon is still the way to go. However, I classified the S21 Ultra to be a workphone. So it is able to meet the daily needs. To be honest, the Otterbox Defender Pro case is indeed one of the best phone case. Unfortunately, they do not work on a rugged case version for Foldable device. Hence I am currently using Unicorn Beetle Pro for my Fold 4 device. Till then, thank you for your service, S21 Ultra. You will always be remembered. 😥

[28 August 2022] Apparently all the accessories were ordered as early as 1.5 months ago to prepare the full protection of my Fold 4. So FINALLY, I had received my Fold 4 with not much problem this year from Samsung Experience Store (SES) Singapore. The overall aesthetic and build this time round as compared with its predecessor, Fold 3, had greatly improved ! I will cover in my next video, but just to highlight the short time i spent with the device. One sentence to describe is, I will never turn back to CandyBar phones ever again. (if possible 😄)

[08 August 2022] Really envy these tech review company where they got the early released set for them to review and perform marketing video upon launch date. These tech review companies were busy studying and ensure most of the details were covered. Some of them also do comparison videos to compare the previous flagship and current flagship phone. In order for these tech companies to perform these reviews, I supposed they need to abide to some rules of not releasing any details before the release. However, they still do leak out anyway. 😒 Now we knows that in these world, die die sure got spoilers one.

[06 August 2022] Decided to go with my gut feeling with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 256GB. Already ordered the accessories for my upcoming device. To reduce the massive cost further, I had applied for SingSaver Credit Card promotion to get the free cash of SGD$300 and using it to preorder for this device to charge at least $350 to get the SGD$300 cash rewards. Prepared the Samsung free voucher of SGD$80. Selling my Samsung S21 Ultra 256GB at SGD$750 and Samsung Tab S7 LTE 256GB at SGD$550. Taking that Z Fold 4 is launched at the same price as the previous Z Fold 3 at SGD$2398. $2398 - $750 - $550 - $300 - $80 = $718. If the preorder gift is some earphone, probably will sell that gift off to reduce the cost further. So probably I will be surviving with this Samsung Z Fold 4 and my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the next three years. Well, somehow this is the plan. So I will also try to produce an unboxing video when I get my hands on the new device.

[28 July 2022] Based on reliable source: "Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the Apple iPhone 14 is having coating-crack quality issues with the rear camera lenses. The batch of camera lenses is from Genius and Apple has transferred the order of 10 million lenses to Largan."
Genius screwed up big time and given two months to resolve this matter. Else it might affect the supply throughout the world. Doubt Apple will release out those problematic phones from the 1st batch to consumers. So still thinking hard whether to invest on two units again as a 😈 scalper again. But worried about 1st batch of the quality issue. Let's monitor closely on the supply again. Apple is still 1.5 to 2 months away from announcement.

[21 July 2022] Finally Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta and owner of WhatsApp had made it happen ! This is his own words -> "We're adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. This is a top requested feature. We launched the ability [to] switch from iPhone-->Android last year, and now adding Android-->iPhone as well (sic)."
Therefore no more required of third-party tools to move our Whatsapp chat histories as these are very important in the modern world. As everyone knows, iOS users were able to transfer chat histories from iOS devices to Android devices since August 2021. But no solution for those who wants to migrate from Android Phones to iOS devices. Now for the first time, The transfer tool "Move to iOS" can be found in the Google Play Store. Today 21 July 2022, Apple updated that the feature is now fully rolled out to all markets and available to everyone !

[20 July 2022] This will be another one of my last and final purchase of 2022. After that, I'll be on a financial-intensive diet and sitting on an aggressive and safe investment journey. Aside of that, yeah Samsung Z Fold 4 will be my greatest and yet most expensive tech refresh ever other than the record breaking iPhone 13 Pro Max that I spent SGD$1969 on it upon release on the first day of launch. Similarly, price will need to be study upon release of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 on the first day as Samsung definitely does not carry the value of Apple product based on my own "Buy, Sell, Buy, Sell" Strategy on "LeaseHold" tactic. So based on the above render, we still could not see much except for the colour scheme and the half of the screen looks a little wider compared to previous gen, Samsung Z Fold 3. [15 July 2022] The colour and storage capacity had been revealed and since the reliable sources kept saying that Z Fold 4 will come at the most attractive and low price point is definitely the 128GB variant. Not saying that 128GB is not enough, for the low to mid range phones, 128GB is decent for those who only perform calling, light photography and watching social media. But for such a premium device and often those power users will be getting this for premium apps installation and storing important data. 256GB is a much more reasonable choice to minimize the need to transfer or archive old data, image and video files to external storage. I would speculate that the 128GB will be the best value option, but 256GB and 512GB storage price's gap will be quite huge and expensive. For me, I will definitely get the 256GB variant.
Finally Samsung Singapore had released One UI 4 Upgrade to all Samsung S21 Ultra users today. It is a long list of major upgrade of their interface. Upgrading now and hope that there is no major bug problems.

[09 July 2022] Typically the best piece of news to look at for potential Samsung Z Fold 4 users. Looking to upgrade my trusty Samsung S21 Ultra to Samsung Z Fold 4 will be quite a wide step towards adopting my very first "Fold" device into a tablet. When the Samsung Z Fold 4 getting the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, we will expect to see such similar performance like the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro which was recently released not long ago. Nonetheless, my another iPhone 13 Pro Max also high rocket the benchmarks which is also the reason why I recently came back once again into the iOS zone. Definitely will be upgrading to Samsung Z Fold 4 if Samsung really reduce the launch price as compared with the previous Z Fold Series [1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen]

As reported, each Samsung S22 Ultra Diablo Immortal Limited Edition contains a Galaxy S22 Ultra, a wooden box for the entire package, a leather mousepad, a map, a lenticular cover, an exclusive phone case, a wireless charging pad, a Battlecoin coupon card, and a Spigen grip talk accessory. The exynos chipset as usual is causing some problems playing Diablo Immortal. Hence make sure you always push yourself to own a latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or at least any Snapdragon chipset preferably one generation below like Snapdragon 888 to keep pace with your mobile gaming needs !

[03 June 2022] Its finally time for me to recontract my SIM-Only plan every year. Having paid $20 each month and my 60GB existing plan had far exceed my usage. As I am going for the Samsung Z Fold 4 coming next month, i am not really sure whether I should go for 5G plan or just stick to 4G usage for one more year. However I think i might recontract for the 100GB 4G plan for a year and give Singapore one more year to come out with better 5G use case.

[07 April 2022] Wow this is crazy. I feel that Samsung is digging its grave. Either that or something is wrong in the recent management of Samsung. S22 models are using Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which is a very good move. It is showing consumers that they care about feedbacks, due to the inferior performance of their own Exynos chipset. Now they are going backwards to use MediaTek chips for their next flagship phones. At least we know that the new foldable are using the next Gen Snapdragon processor, so don't really bother about their MediaTek released phones..

[28 Mar 2022] Although this is not finalized yet, Samsung rumoured to launch the first phone with a rollable display by end of 2022. This would be the first rollable phone to be released to the consumer's market. I will certainly want to adopt one of the Z Fold 4 or rollable phone to replace my primary Samsung S21 Ultra. The value of my Samung S21 Ultra had been dropping like crazy for the past month ever since the S22 Series had been released. Maybe a Flip 4 will be good if Samsung can solve the Flip 3 small battery and its crease issue, only then this can be considered as one of my replacement choice as well.

This Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will succeed for 2021's Snapdragon 888 chipset. For gamers, this will have 30% better graphics rendering and 25% more power saving than Snapdragon 888. [11 Nov 2021] Just got to find out yesterday at Samsung Experience store yesterday that the Z Fold 2 and Z Fold 3 were using Snapdragon 865+ and Snapdragon 888 respectively, though it did not state in the specification in the phone or on their advertised articles. But can confirmed that both of the Z Fold 2 and Z Fold 3 does not use the Exynos chipset like the other flagship phones, S21 Ultra. Saw a good deal of Z Fold 2 selling brand new at SGD1488. But sold off after two day of posting. I could had sold off my S21 Ultra at SGD1100 and top up SGD388 more for it. Well let's wait and see first. But the build and usage quality is certainly top-notch ! Do try it out at Samsung Experience Store.

It is a open-world action role-playing game. Due to Apple's powerful iPhone 13 Pro and iPad Pro hardware and software, Genshin Impact is adding support for a 120fps mode for Apple devices for the first time ! But its still running warm on iPhone 13 Pro Max just after 20 minutes of playing Genshin Impact. Other games still ok even after a hour or so. Genshin Impact is just intense !

As my ROG Phone had retired due to battery and intermittent boot up issues, I always have two active phones, one primary and secondary phone with me. So before I had decided to settle for my new addon, iPhone 13 Pro Max to replace as my primary phone, Samsung S21 Ultra, due to unforeseen circumstances like "full whatsapp backup and restore" and my favourite "Samsung Notes" and "NoteEverything" does not exists on iOS, i have to continue using Samsung S21 Ultra. Henceforth, my primary phone, Samsung S21 Ultra will be handling my Work + Main Personal contact, while my secondary phone, iPhone 13 Pro Max will be used for AmateurCraft content production + Gaming device. The only option is to sell off my iPhone 12 which had contributed mainly on the early stages of AmateurCraft content and gaming device. I got to say that I really can't bear to sell off my iPhone 12 because it is still very solid and handles many of my work and gaming needs well. Thanks to the Otterbox Defender Pro case, my iphone 12 is still the very same condition as the first day I bought it on day 1 of Marina Bay Sands opening !

[02 Oct 2021] Today two deliveries of my iPhone 13 Pro Max accessories are delivering. However the bad news is iPhone 13 Pro Max is out of stock at all "Original" Apple Stores. Many trolls will start saying, "eh, telcos and some mobile shops still have stock what. Never go try those places meh?" Thats the misconception of many people. First of all, i do not take telcos contract to get phones (a major ripoff). Secondly, i only picked Marina Bay Sand instead of their orchard or Jewel Changi Airport branch. Why? [29 Sep 2021] Seems like it is a one way traffic now. Decision is fixed onto iPhone 13 Pro Max to replace my Samsung S21 Ultra. I had put off the decision of getting Oppo Find X3 Pro as the replacement. One factor is not much accessory or a great case to go into. Although I heard bad reviews on Razer Archtech Pro, noticed that improvement had been made. The only way to test it is to use it. As the reviews of iPhone 13 Pro Max goes, someone used ice bath to cool down the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the benchmarks actually break through record high. iPhone 13 Pro Max seems to throttle down performance easily when it is heated up. Apple probably did this to protect the device long term. Let me try and hope there will be good outcome for this combination.

[26 Sep 2021] Probably target to change my Samsung S21 Ultra to iPhone 13 Pro Max coming 2nd Oct 2021. Many content creators are using flagship iPhones for their content creation. Since I had already found a simple solution other than Cloud or Lightning Cable via iTunes method, I decided on iPhone 13 Pro Max. Security + Content Creation for my priority now !

[25 Sep 2021] Actually decided to get Mac Mini with M1 Chipset at MBS today, but unfortunately MBS Apple rejected my entry due to "Only Appointment" for users to get their Apple iPhone 13 preorders. Haha its a blessing actually, as i quickly make my way home after that ;D Also reminded of my very first collection of iPhone 12 last year on Day 1 at the new opening of MBS Apple Store.

[19 Sep 2021] As per checking, I'm able to sell my Samsung S21 Ultra at $1100 now. For a solid build with Snapdragon 888 and decent value, I can only narrowed it to Oppo Find X3 Pro at $1060. Guess I shall start backing up my files and applications to switch it for now. Of course for now, the best android for gaming intensive device, is still the ROG Phone 5s PRO for it Snapdragon 888+. But it will be gone with a drop from pocket level even with its case. So I guess Oppo Find X3 Pro for now to survive till their next-Gen Snapdragon breakthrough !

[15 Sep 2021] Over a decade, I had been amazed at how Samsung innovate its products' branding. From my list, I had focusing their Samsung Note series after trying out niche markets from the 2000s. 2010 to 2021, I had been giving Samsung chances and chances till I finally decided not to ever touch Samsung Exynos chipset products anymore. From Samsung Note 1, Note 3, Note 5, Note 8 and now Samsung S21 Ultra, these are flagship products. However they never learned. Apparently, there were still hard-core Samsung Fans still saying Exynos Samsung S21 Ultra is great. In actual fact, after my usage for the past 5 months, Samsung S21 Ultra certainly is not capable to handle all forms of apps in Google Store. Performance is not good. Camera and Video recording are terrible despite several patch updates. I finally decided to sell off for the next Snapdragon generation device.
Not to deny all Samsung products are the same. Samsung Tab S7 series are the best, since they are using Snapdragon 865+ which is still the best Android Tablet at this point of writing [15 Sep 2021].
Current market [15 Sep 2021] best Android device is still the Asus ROG Phone 5S which is currently using the best Snapdragon 888+ chipset. Every aspect of performance is great, except that its build is still very flimsy. Even with its custom-made case, its still not getting the maximum it is getting. In Game, this is like the Mage. Powerful Damage, but is squashy like a cake. From my Asus ROG Phone 1, till Asus releases their ROG Phone 2, ROG Phone 3, they skipped the ROG Phone 4 branding and straight to ROG Phone 5, all the breaking test review had been disappointing. This is partly the reason why i got Samsung S21 Ultra in April 2021 which their breaking review test are exceptionally durable, giving them a final chance. On paper, Snapdragon 888 is always compared with Exynos 2100, showing that Exynos 2100 is just a little slower that Snapdragon 888. Even tech youtuber are proving that Samsung S21 Ultra is not too far behind and able to manage tasks well. Gosh, while i hunted for a Samsung S21 Ultra online, I saw many were selling off, but many do not want to state the real reason. Since I am using the actual unit, I can say that Samsung S21 Ultra did not meet the cut and definitely not performing well. Although I do not play Genshin Impact, but this game does show the shortcoming of this device very obviously. So for those still considering it, think twice and I would strongly advice you to get any device with Snapdragon 888 for now. Its worth for your every penny.
For myself, I often tried my best to hold two different phones, particularly a iOS and Android device. In the past, things were more interesting as Symbian, Blackberry OS and Windows Mobile were in the mixed. But for 2020s onwards, the best two are unarguably iOS and Android. Since I am holding a iPhone 12 and Samsung S21 Ultra currently, my iPhone 12 are performing way better than most what my Samsung S21 Ultra can do. Currently i am simply underutilizing my Samsung S21 Ultra as a communication device for whatsapp, telegram, simple web surfing and "very simple" photo taking all for work purposes. The only plus point for using Samsung device is their Samsung Note. No other note taking apps can overtake Samsung Notes. Probably their best app which is beneficial.
So as of today [15 Sep 2021], Apple finally launched their iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 7, iPad and iPad Mini. As usual, I do not see much upgrades from its predecessor. But my wife is upgrading from a Actxa Tempo 3C Fitness Tracker to Apple Watch Series 7, so its justified to get it. Hence something for me to review soon for Apple Watch Series 7 in the near future.
Based on my current device, Samsung S21 Ultra | Apple iPhone 12, it seems hard for me to switch my Samsung S21 Ultra to Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, as I do not want to own two iOS devices at the same time. If I switch iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro Max, i felt that the benefit is not too great for the change. But my current situation being that I need to make or record video for content creation, I am still relying on my iPhone 12. Considering to get Canon Powershot G7 X Mark III, but i think that I might underutilize it. Taking video using Canon Powershot G7 X Mark III can be very attracted to passer-by looks :/ I tested taking random video using my iPhone 12 on the street and its less being an "attention-seeker". So I'm still contemplating whether to upgrade my iPhone 12 or get a dedicated recording device like Canon Powershot G7 X Mark III or GoPro Hero 9 or even GoPro Hero 10 Black which is releasing anytime this week. Only option is probably wait for a next-gen Android device, only concern is the shortage chipset issue which might drive prices up.
